Wezesha Amani Mashinani na Mama (WAMAMA);
This project – which translates to Grassroots Women Enabling Peace – is funded by The Embassy of Finland is being implemented in Uasin Gishu, Nandi, and West Pokot counties. The project is designed to promote gender equality and non-discrimination in the engagement of stakeholders and beneficiaries.
Displaced pastoralist children in Endo Ward, Marakwet East, Elgeiyo Marakwet County;
The project sensitizes girls who have dropped out of school to seek readmission to schools and vocational training institutes to complete their education. It also supports reformed warriors to identify alternative livelihood means through joining and working with active youth groups in the Ward. The project supports boards of management of schools, management of vocational training institutions, change agents, teachers in the identification of the school dropouts and reformed youths.
Strengthening Local Capacities for Peace
The project, supported by GIZ-CPS, focuses on enhancing peaceful coexistence by amplifying community voices and building their capacity to meaningfully participate and influence peace processes.
Its goal is to promote peaceful coexistence among IDPs and host communities in Huruma and D-Block through amplified community voice and capacity development.

What We Do
RWPL’s core business is to contribute to the holistic development of women in conflict prone areas for peace, development and their effective contribution to their communities. In all its efforts, RWPL is working to stimulate capacities of communities within North Rift Valley and part of western Kenya to claim their rights from the state and other duty bearers towards improvement of their social and economic welfare including peace and security through brokering of knowledge. It is based on the belief that for the state to provide services effectively especially those aimed at addressing other forms of social inequality, the citizenry must have the capacity to demand these rights and to hold the state accountable.
