Sharon Jelimo - Assistant Finance Officer

Sharon is an ardent supporter of the emancipation of women and girls from oppressive socio-cultural beliefs and practices. She desires to see women and girls recognized, valued and empowered to be self-reliant. Sharon is inspired by her own life story that saw her rise up from a humble background and beating the odds to become a Finance Officer.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST). Her niche is in auditing, financial analysis, and commercial/entrepreneurship and business awareness. She uses her financial expertise to educate women in self-help groups on financial matters. She has a great interest in Peacebuilding, Leadership, and Economic Empowerment for young girls.

While she gives back to her community and develops networks, her dream is to have an equal society where women and girls can thrive and succeed.
