Women Leadership

RWPL’s component of transformative leadership aims at supporting women, youth and PWDs as a necessary prerequisite in realizing long-term development in communities. RWPL has provided safe space for women, youth and PWDs to develop leadership skills, promote transparent decision making and promote collective voice on all matters affecting them. Youth, women, and PWDs have been reached with quality civic education on matters governance and social accountability. 35 women aspirants were trained on leadership, effective campaign strategies, key factors in elective processes, preparing for party nominations and general election, skills for women in political leadership

As a result, women have been appointed into administrative posts like Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs in the community while others have been nominated into political positions.  Sarah Malel is one such woman, she was elected as the Member of County Assembly representing Kimumu Ward in Uasin Gishu County.
