Lilliane is a passionate advocate on human rights, gender and good governance with over 20 years’ experience working in large development programs on human rights, women, peace and security, gender and governance, education, and mentorship in Western, Nyanza, North-Rift and Coastal regions of Kenya.
She is an expert in rights-based programming/ approaches for citizens, children, women and PWDs. In these fields she has closely worked and collaborated with rural communities, CSOs, universities and government arms and sectors to enhance the welfare of vulnerable and marginalized populations such as IDPs, refugees, GBV survivors, youth, ex-militia, refugees, HIV/AIDS survivors, PWDs, OVCs, girls and widows. Her work has included strengthening the capacities of CSOs to enable them deliver for their own communities.
She has been involved in designing curricula and delivering successful training programs and toolkits in Peace Building, Human Rights, Governance, and Advocacy on UNSCR 1325 Implementation. She is a member of the technical team that provided support to Bungoma County’s Department of Gender during the development of a County Action Plan for UNSCR 1325 implementation. She has done consultation work for UN Women, Mercy Corps and WEL on gender responsive peacebuilding.

RWPL is based in Uasin Gishu County with network operations in North Rift Kenya since 1999. RWPL has a long-established network of women groups in 7 counties including Uasin Gishu, Nandi, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Bungoma and Elgeiyo Marakwet. Our secretariat is based in Eldoret.
