Mercy is passionate about girl-child mentorship and women empowerment and all facets that pertain to them. She has a proven track record in championing for equal access to education and the inclusion of women and young women in decision making, peacebuilding processes and leadership. She has 5 years’ worth of experience in engaging women and girls from rural areas in the North Rift Region of Kenya on issues of Peace, Human Rights and Gender Equality.
Besides holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education from Moi University, she is also a Young Woman Mediation Ambassador with International Centre for Peace, Human Rights and Development- (IPHRD Africa) and a member of the East Africa Young Women Leadership and Mentoring Initiative with Akili Dada. Over time she has horned her skills in resource mobilization, project management, leadership, governance and strategic planning.
Mercy is a firm believer in the need for peace and equity in the society to accommodate the voices of both women and men and provide a fair platform for both parties to excel.

RWPL is based in Uasin Gishu County with network operations in North Rift Kenya since 1999. RWPL has a long-established network of women groups in 7 counties including Uasin Gishu, Nandi, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Bungoma and Elgeiyo Marakwet. Our secretariat is based in Eldoret.
